To attract more outstanding international young scholars to come to China for short-term exchanges and cooperation, China Scholarship Council (CSC) will continue funding a number of high-level international summer school programs. The specific application matters are as follows:
Ⅰ. Application requirements
1. Duration of the program: Each program should last no less than 14 days and no longer than 3 months. May 1, 2026 to February 28, 2027.
2. Universities are encouraged to pool high-quality resources, leverage their disciplinary strengths, and design programs centered on basic disciplines, emerging disciplines, and interdisciplinary studies. Priority will be given to outstanding programs themed around “advancing achievements in education through head-of-state diplomacy,” “leading the development of frontier basic disciplines,” “empowering educational innovation through digitalization,” and “telling stories of Chinese modernization.” Each institution may apply for more than one program.
3. Funding recipients must be foreign students and scholars enrolled in overseas higher education institutions or research organizations, including undergraduate and above students, in-service teachers, and young researchers. International students already studying in China are not eligible.
Ⅱ. Funding
This is a Full Scholarship which covers:
Tuition waiver, on-campus accommodation, and comprehensive medical insurance.
Monthly Stipend:
General Scholars (undergraduate and masters students): CNY 3,000/month.
Senior Scholars (PhD students and above): CNY 3,500/month.
