The program is open to academically outstanding international students who are applying for postgraduate programs (Master’s & Ph.D. Degrees) and are committed to pursuing studies in nuclear resource–related fields.
To be considered for Atomic Energy Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Citizenship: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens from emerging nuclear power countries, who are committed to contributing to the nuclear energy industry and must be in good health.
2.Conduct: Applicants must have no criminal record and be committed to observing the laws of the People’s Republic of China and the regulations of CUG.
3. Academic & Age Requirements:
Master’s Programs: Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
Ph.D. Programs: Applicants must possess a master’s degree and be under the age of 40.

Applicants must upload the following documents on Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be accompanied by notarized translations in Chinese or English):
1. Highest Diploma or Pre-graduation Certificate: Original or notarized copy.
2. Academic Transcripts: Complete transcripts for all semesters corresponding to the highest degree.
3. Passport Personal Information Page: Copy of a valid ordinary foreign passport.
4. Language Proficiency Certificate: Valid HSK, IELTS, TOEFL scores,
32or MOI certificates as specified in the requirements.
5. Two Recommendation Letters: From two professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English.
6. Foreigner Physical Examination Form: Must be completed within the last 6 months (expired forms will not be accepted).
7. Non-Criminal Record Report: Issued within the last 6 months.
8. CUG Supervisor’s Recommendation Form for Excellent International Students with the signature of their intended supervisor.
9. Study Plan in Chinese or English (minimum 1,000 words/characters). Doctoral applicants must obtain the signature of their intended Chinese supervisor at CUG.
10. Other Supporting Materials: Such as award certificates, published papers, or other academic achievements.
