CUG International Students Win Awards at the 2026 International Youth Talent Competition for International Cultural Trade

The award ceremony of the 2026 International Youth Talent Competition for International Cultural Trade, co-hosted by the Cultural Communication Center of China International Communications Group and Sinolingua Press, was held in Beijing on June 17. Five CUG International students won two major honors: the Cultural Promotion Contribution Award and the Dynamic Cultural Communication Award.


Hoang Minh Hien, a Vietnamese student, received the Cultural Promotion Contribution Award. Four students were honored with the Dynamic Cultural Communication Award: Cung Mai Linh and Vu Thi Minh Thu from Vietnam, Andrianasoa Mihaja Ryan and Vavitsara Claudia Francinefrom Madagascar. All their entries were supervised by Yin Siqin from the International Education College.



The award ceremony was held during the Integrated Communication Launch Conference marking the 40th Anniversary of Sinolingua Press. A host of Chinese and foreign guests attended the event and presented awards to the winners, including CHANG Bo, Director of China International Communications Group; Ahmed Mostafa, Director of the League of Arab States Representative Office in China; Siddharth Chatterjee, former United Nations Resident Coordinator in China; and ZHU Xiaojie, Chairman of Fengniao Technology Co., Ltd. A highlight reel recapping the competition was screened at the venue, showcasing moments where young contestants told Chinese stories through innovative approaches.

The competition has been successfully held for four sessions, to discover and cultivate young talents who are passionate about Sino-foreign cultural exchanges, equipped with international communication capabilities and dedicated to cultural trade. It has drawn participation from young people across over 70 countries worldwide, receiving nearly a thousand entries in total. Multiple competition tracks are available, including short video creation, cultural IP planning, and cross-border communication scheme design. After rigorous evaluation, nearly 200 international young contestants from universities nationwide have won awards.
