May 31 marked the successful conclusion of the 2026 National University Business Elite Challenge (Brand Planning Competition) and China Division of the Global Youth Business Challenge, co-hosted by the Commercial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Chamber of Commerce for Commercial Sector of China Chamber of International Commerce.

The CUG international student team dubbed "Iron Guard" secured the second prize in the national finals after fierce competition, supervised by Assoc Prof. LAI Xiaochun from the School of Foreign Languages. The squad consists of four overseas students: BAHAREH SHIRDAM from Iran, AFTAB UR RAHMAN from Pakistan, KEMALA WIJAYANTI from Indonesia and MOJAWIR AHMAD SADAT from Afghanistan. The team earned the award thanks to their solid academic grounding, innovative thinking and excellent teamwork.

CUG will further deepen the reform of international education and teaching. Upholding the educational concept of promoting learning, training and development through competitions, the university will enrich practical education carriers for international students and steadily improve the quality of international talent cultivation.
