China University of Geosciences (CUG), a key national university affiliated to the Ministry of Education (MOE) and authorized by the state to establish Graduate School,is one of the first group of universities listed in the national “211 Project” and the national “Double World-Class Project”. Introduction
Chinese Government Scholarship - Chinese-African Friendship General Scholar Program is a full scholarship established by the MOE to support Chinese universities to attract outstanding international students from African Countries for six-month general studies in China. China University of Geosciences is one of the universities designated by the MOE to undertake this program to recruit students.

NOTE: Applicants who once held Chinese nationality and then were naturalized as a foreign national or whose parents are both Chinese nationals and have both settled abroad, or one of whose parents is a Chinese national and has settled abroad, and who has acquired foreign nationality at birth shall hold valid foreign passport or certificate of nationality for no less than 4 years and have the record of having lived in a foreign country for more than 2 years in the recent 4 years (as of April 30th of the entry academic year).
Application Procedure
1. Submit online application at CSC Online Application System: https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login Choose Type B. The agency code for China University of Geosciences, Wuhan is 10491. Choose the applying category “General Scholar”. Choose the major “Public Administration”.
2. Upload the required documents onto the CSC online system:
1) Notarized highest diploma (notarized in Chinese or English); (Prospective diploma recipients should submit official documents issued by your current school to prove not only your current student status, but also the expected type of your degree and the date of graduation. );
2) Academic transcripts (notarized in Chinese or English);
3) A Study Plan or Research Proposal with a minimum of 500 words (in Chinese or English);
4)Two recommendation letters;
5) Valid passport information page and visa page;
6) Foreigner Physical Examination Form (with blood test result valid in half a year);
7) Certificate of Non-Criminal Record;
8) Other documents(if applicable, eg. language proficiency, publishing papers and etc )
9) Students currently in China should submit the photocopy of the residence permit page and a proof of school performance from the current school.
Deadline
Students need to finish the online application through the CSC Chinese Government Scholarship Information System by December10th, 2021.
